TRIAD Early Intervention Newsletter
We hope you enjoy the first issue of our TRIAD Early Intervention (EI) Newsletter! We will be sending these throughout the year to provide updates and access to resources. You can look forward to finding information about workshops, tip sheets to use and share with families, curriculum information, community engagement events, and more!
Thank you to all the early interventionists who have collaborated with us over the past few years. We have enjoyed working with you and greatly value your input. Your additional guidance and follow-up with families plays a crucial role in the progress they make, and we look forward to continuing our partnerships!
Workshop News: We just wrapped up our Building Blocks of Communication workshop in Middle and West Tennessee. Participants were able to learn about strategies for teaching communication to children with ASD, coaching parents to implement these strategies at home, and using a variety of tools to support caregiver coaching. The replacement behavior menu shown below can be used to help parents identify how their child currently communicates and to select what they would like to teach them instead. |

Missed out on the workshop?
Attached you can find our Building Blocks of Communication tip sheet—including abbreviated versions in Spanish, and Arabic! This can be used to help caregivers understand the importance of nonverbal communication and the developmental skills that set the foundation for their child learning to use words.
We also have an extensive library of tip sheets built up on a variety of other topics such as challenging behavior, sleep, play, toileting, etc. Feel free to contact one of your TRIAD consultants if you are looking for additional information to share with families! |
