Paradigm Shifts in Approaches to Early Detection and Intervention in Autism Spectrum Disorder

New treatments designed to enhance neuroplasticity and improve outcomes are being developed for autism spectrum disorder. Novel biomarkers are allowing earlier detection of ASD before the onset of the full syndrome. One approach to early detection involves digital phenotyping, which has the potential to transform how we detect and understand ASD and improve our ability to assess the efficacy of novel treatments.
