Special education attorney, Jessica Salonus, and DSAMT's Director of Policy and Advocacy, Erin Richardson, explain your child's right to be educated in his or her least restrictive environment and discuss strategies for advocating for greater inclusion of your child in school. This three-hour training includes a detailed review of IDEA's provisions related to least restrictive environment, a review of recent case law regarding this important right, as well as strategies designed to help you obtain this right for your child.
DSAMT will host two sessions of this training on Tuesday, December 10th. The morning session (10 a.m. to 1 p.m.) will be held in Brentwood (location TBA), and the evening session (5 p.m. to 8 p.m.) will be held in Hermitage, TN at 1310 Central Court. Register at link below.
