Families First Wilmington, Delaware Live-Stream Workshop: Doctors, Therapists, and Schools-Oh My! Building an Effective Team

Date: July 20, 2019

Time: 9:00AM to 12:00PM

Location: Wilmington, Delaware

A monthly workshop series for parents of young children with an autism spectrum disorder.

Program is free of charge.

Each 3-hour workshop focuses on providing parents and caregivers with strategies to use at home, school, and in the community. The strategies discussed are based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).

This workshop will explore the different providers who work with children with autism both in and out of school and help caregivers gain an understanding of the specific goals they address when working with your child. We will practice strategies that will allow caregivers to be an active part of their child's care team, such as goal-setting and progress-monitoring. Finally, the workshop will provide an overview of supports to help prepare your child for new settings, such as school and therapy settings.

Registration is required by midnight Tuesday, July 16, 2019.
