Overview of Interests
Dr. Joshua Ryan Smith is a child psychiatrist whose research interests include conducting systematic literature reviews to develop clinical guidelines, substance use screening practices, and innovative treatment approaches for autism spectrum disorder. He is currently investigating the difference in symptom reporting between individuals with autism spectrum disorder and their families; as well as the use of transcranial magnetic stimulation in the treatment of social emotional relatedness deficits in autism spectrum disorder. Dr. Smith has also published case reports and reviews in the realm of consult-liaison psychiatry.
