CELEBRATE

Elisabeth Dykens, Director

At the Vanderbilt Kennedy Center, we dare to discover ways to open doors and transform lives for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The Vanderbilt Kennedy Center has wisely used its historical roots to build dynamic collaborations among researchers, clinicians, students, staff, families, schools, and community partners that together empower us to change the disability landscape, to focus on promoting abilities. Fifty years ago, hope was slim until President Kennedy opened the doors. Now we are charged with opening those doors even wider to greater opportunities and bigger dreams.
