Clinical and Diagnostic Evaluation Services for Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD)
Vanderbilt University Medical Center offers testing for ASD for children up to age 18. These are done through research studies as well as through the Division of Developmental Medicine at Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital. These programs can speak with you about your child and services that they offer before you see us. You can call them while you wait.
- If your child is under 34 months, contact the Tennessee Early Intervention System (TEIS), 800-852-7157.
- If your child is 34 months or older, contact your county school system. Ask to have your child tested for preschool special education.
- The
Regional Intervention Program offers parents help with children’s challenging behavior.
- For help with finding therapists, such as speech therapists, call your pediatrician, insurance company, or visit the Vanderbilt Autism Resource Line.
