Guiding families and providers to resources supporting child development

The mission of the Tennessee Cares Network at Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) is to connect families and medical providers to resources in their communities and to each other. It focuses on children under age 5 years at risk of developmental delay or autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Activities include online learning groups, trainings, and conversations with families. This ongoing project is funded through the Health Resources and Services Administration (Grant #H6MMC332360100).

Our team of Family Navigators will collaborate with families and caregivers as they seek services such as:

  • Diagnostic assessment for autism spectrum disorder or other developmental disabilities
  • Early intervention or school-based services
  • Family/caregiver trainings
  • Therapy services
