Time: 9:00AM to 12:00PM

Location: Room 241, Vanderbilt Kennedy Center, One Magnolia Circle

A monthly workshop series for parents of young children with an autism spectrum disorder.

Program is free of charge.

Each 3-hour workshop focuses on providing parents and caregivers with strategies to use at home, school, and in the community. The strategies discussed are based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).

In this workshop, you will learn about, design, and create visual supports to use with your child. We will talk about three kinds of visual supports: visual schedules, task analyses, and social stories. For each visual support, you will learn what it is, how it works, and how you can use it with your child. You will also have the chance to make your own visual supports to take home with you!

Registration is required by midnight Tuesday, June 18, 2019.

Families First Child Care registration is by telephone request for children over 1 and under 10 years of age only following registration for the event. Please contact Nina Harris at (615) 322-7565 following registration if you need this service..
