Volunteer Advocacy Project 2019, Fall

Date: August 30, 2019 to August 31, 2019

Time: 5:00PM to 8:00PM

Location: Hobbs Building, Room 100B, Peabody Campus, Vanderbilt University, Nashville. The training will also be video-conferenced to other sites across the state.


This is a comprehensive 12-week training to be held in the fall starting August 20. Specific dates are:
August 20, 27
September 3, 10, 17, 24
October 1, 8, 15, 22, 39
November 5

The Volunteer Advocacy Project (VAP) at the Vanderbilt Kennedy Center trains interested individuals to advocate for families as they navigate their way through the special education process. The Fall 2019 training will take place on Tuesday evenings from 5:00-8:00 p.m. CT (6:00-9:00 p.m. ET) beginning Aug. 20 through Nov. 5 at a range of locations across the state. The training will run for 12 weeks (a total of 40 hours). Additional information about the training can be found on the VAP website. Click the link above to complete the preliminary VAP application.
