Families First Jackson, TN Live-Stream: Addressing Challenging Behavior

Date: September 21, 2019

Time: 9:00AM to 12:30PM

Location: Skyline Drive, Jackson, TN, 38301

A FREE workshop for parents of young children with an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

Program is free of charge.

We will be livestreaming the Nashville workshop with TRIAD facilitators on site for activities and to answer questions. This workshop focuses on providing parents and caregivers with strategies to use at home, school, and in the community. The strategies discussed are based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).

In this workshop, we will provide a framework for understanding the influences on challenging behavior, so parents are more effectively able to identify and address triggers. This presentation examines both preventative and reactive strategies in the management of challenging behavior. We will provide suggestions for structuring the environment (including our behavior) in a way that promotes appropriate behavior, identifying and teaching appropriate replacement behaviors, and responding to difficult behavior in the moment.

Registration is required by midnight Tuesday, September 17, 2019.
