Online registration for the 47th Annual Gatlinburg Conference on Research and Theory in Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities is open now through Feb. 19.
This year's conference will be held Mar. 5-7 at the Hotel Allegro in the heart of Chicago, Illinois' Theatre District. The theme for this year's conference is "The Co-Occurrence of Mental Illness and Developmental Disability. Plenary lecturers scheduled to speak are:
- Luc Lecavalier, Ph.D., The Ohio State University: The Nature and Treatment of Behavior and Emotional Problems in Young People with Autism Spectrum Disorders
- Sheila Eyberg, Ph.D., ABPP Florida State University: Treatment of Young Children with Co-Occurring Disruptive Behavior Disorders and IDD
- Susan Hepburn, Ph.D., University of Colorado-Denver: Extending Evidence-Based Practices to Improve Access to Services for Youth with Autism Spectrum Disorder and Anxiety
- Bryan King, M.D., Seattle Children's Hospital Autism Center: Sex, Drugs, and Diagnostic Rigamaroles
Online registration is open through Feb. 19, with registration fees of $250 for professionals and $50 for students, postdoctoral fellows, and trainees. After Feb. 19, registration rates will increase and can only be paid on-site. Click here to register.
