Registration open for Gatlinburg Conference Mar. 5-7 in Chicago

The theme of the 47th annual Gatlinburg Conference is "The Co-Occurrence of Mental Illness and Developmental Disability."

Online registration for the 47th Annual Gatlinburg Conference on Research and Theory in Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities is open now through Feb. 19.

This year's conference will be held Mar. 5-7 at the Hotel Allegro in the heart of Chicago, Illinois' Theatre District. The theme for this year's conference is "The Co-Occurrence of Mental Illness and Developmental Disability. Plenary lecturers scheduled to speak are:

  • Luc Lecavalier, Ph.D., The Ohio State University: The Nature and Treatment of Behavior and Emotional Problems in Young People with Autism Spectrum Disorders
  • Sheila Eyberg, Ph.D., ABPP Florida State University: Treatment of Young Children with Co-Occurring Disruptive Behavior Disorders and IDD
  • Susan Hepburn, Ph.D., University of Colorado-Denver: Extending Evidence-Based Practices to Improve Access to Services for Youth with Autism Spectrum Disorder and Anxiety
  • Bryan King, M.D., Seattle Children's Hospital Autism Center: Sex, Drugs, and Diagnostic Rigamaroles

Online registration is open through Feb. 19, with registration fees of $250 for professionals and $50 for students, postdoctoral fellows, and trainees. After Feb. 19, registration rates will increase and can only be paid on-site. Click here to register.
