Vanderbilt Kennedy Center Biostatistics and Bioinformatics Core Training Seminar
Pharmacogenomics in Pediatric Populations

Friday, November 21, 2014

In recent decades, the field of pharmacogenomics has evolved from research pursuing the genetic basis for variation in drug response to implementation of genetic testing to guide treatment decisions. The pediatric population provides unique opportunities and challenges for implementing pharmacogenomics in clinical practice. Striking a balance between the application of well-established associations and the special considerations for this vulnerable patient population is the key to improving outcomes through personalized pediatrics.
