Rebecca Webb Wilson shared her photography and views from her newly published book Well-Seasoned: Savoring Life’s Lessons at a reception and book-signing held at the Nashville home of Dr. William Gavigan, III, on Dec. 2. A nature photographer for several years, Well-Seasoned is Wilson’s second book.

“We are so grateful to Becky for donating a portion of proceeds from book sales at the reception to the Vanderbilt Kennedy Center,” said Elisabeth Dykens, Center director and Annette Schaffer Eskind Chair at Vanderbilt University. “She is an extraordinary photographer, and her insights on phases or ‘seasons’ of our lives over the lifespan is so apt for our Center’s work on behalf of children and adults with developmental disabilities over the lifespan.”

Wilson is a Vanderbilt graduate and has served on the Vanderbilt Board of Trust since 1989. She is the founder of Bridge Builders, a youth leadership program that has had over 21,000 participants since it began in 1988. Currently she serves on the Board of Directors for Baptist Memorial Health Care Corporation. Becky and her husband Spence, also a Vanderbilt graduate, are the parents of four children and have nine grandchildren.

Well-Seasoned and Wilson’s earlier book Songs of Nature: Mediations in Psalms, can be purchased through her website www.hawkeyenature.com, which also includes photos and videos.
