#WithoutMedicaid social media campaign aims to raise awareness

Cuts to Medicaid

Both The President's Budget Proposal and the American Health Care Act propose cuts to the Medicaid program (TennCare in Tennessee), which could mean billions of dollars lost in our state. These cuts could ultimately impact healthcare services and long-term services and supports - like CHOICES, Employment and Community First (ECF) CHOICES, and the Department of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (DIDD) waiver programs.

The Tennessee Developmental Disabilities and Independent Living Networks are working together with The Arc TN to raise awareness through the social media campaign #WithoutMedicaid, about how these potential cuts could affect Tennessee families.

If you receive Medicaid, how will these proposed cuts impact your life?

Share your story on social media with the hashtag #WithoutMedicaid. Here's how:

  • Print the #WithoutMedicaid sign found at the link below.
  • Fill out how your life would be impacted by cuts to Medicaid.
  • Take a photo of yourself holding the sign.
  • Post it to social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.).
  • Be sure to use the hashtag #WithoutMedicaid.

No printer? Just share how your life would be impacted by the cuts in funding and use the hashtag #WithoutMedicaid.

Together, we can educate others on the importance of Medicaid services in Tennessee.
