Pathfinder’s Megan Hart elected to Tennessee Disability Coalition Board

Megan Hart is one of three Middle Tennessee representatives elected to the Board of Directors of the Tennessee Disability Coalition. Hart is director of Tennessee Disability Pathfinder, the statewide referral and information service at the Vanderbilt Kennedy University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (VKC UCEDD).

“I’m honored to have been nominated and elected to serve on Tennessee Disability Coalition’s Board of Directors,” Hart said. “As a person with a disability and a professional in the field, I look forward to contributing my insight while serving among a dynamic group of people dedicated to supporting the Coalition’s efforts to promote the full inclusion and engagement of individuals with disabilities.”

Also elected to represent Middle Tennessee are Alecia Talbott, executive director of the Down Syndrome Association of Middle Tennessee, and Errol Elshtain, a longtime disability advocate retired from the Tennessee Council on Developmental Disabilities.

“We are proud of Megan’s nomination and election, and know that she will be an effective voice for and about the disability community,” said Elise McMillan, co-director of the VKC UCEDD.

The Tennessee Disability Coalition is an alliance of organizations and individuals joined to promote the full and equal participation of people with disabilities in all aspects of life. The Coalition and its member organizations represent Tennesseans of every age, economic background, political persuasion, and disability.
