Tennessee Disability Pathfinder program director Megan Hart, M.Ed., was recently elected as chair of the Tennessee Disability Coalition Board of Directors.
Pathfinder is a partnership between the Vanderbilt Kennedy Center’s University Center of Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (VKC UCEDD), the Tennessee Department of Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities, the Tennessee Department of Health, and the Tennessee Council on Developmental Disabilities. Pathfinder provides free information, resources, support, and referrals to Tennesseans with disabilities and their families.
The Tennessee Disability Coalition is an alliance of individuals and organizations, including the Vanderbilt Kennedy Center, joined to promote the full and equal participation of people with disabilities in all aspects of life. The Coalition and its member organizations represent Tennesseans of every age, economic background, political persuasion and disability. Each is committed to collaboration toward improving the lives of all Tennesseans who are touched by a disability.
The Coalition also collaborates with the VKC as one of its Community Outreach Partners.
“We’re thrilled that Megan will be working so closely with the Tennessee Disability Coalition as chair of its Board of Directors,” said VKC UCEDD co-director Elise McMillan, J.D. “Megan is a skillful leader, and I’m so glad for the opportunity to partner with the Coalition on another level as we work together to serve individuals with disabilities and their families in the State of Tennessee.”
