Overview of Interests
The Carter lab studies the regulation of developmental cell death in the nervous system, including neurotrophin signaling through the p75 receptor and the mechanisms by which the neuronal corpses are cleared. In addition, they study the molecular pathways controlling myelin formation in the peripheral nervous system.
