Overview of Interests
Shana Crispin is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) at the UTHSC Center for Developmental Disabilities (CDD). She received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Rutgers University and a master’s degree in Social Work at the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College. She has been with the CDD since 2017 and has loved living in Memphis, with her husband, John, and daughter, Olivia, for 5 years. She provides a variety of psycho-therapeutic and psycho-educational services to individuals, families, and groups that have developmental and behavioral disorders at the CDD, in the community, and in-home settings.
Shana is passionate about providing services to the community in West Tennessee. She is currently focused on promoting widespread awareness about the impacts of Adverse Childhood Experiences on neurobiological development, school success, and lifelong physical/mental health and wellness outcomes for children with developmental disabilities. Shana is also passionate about her ongoing work assisting parents with disabilities build capacity around specific skills that bring health and wellness to themselves and their children.
