Overview of Interests

Shaunna Foell is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) at the Vanderbilt Kennedy Center's Treatment and Research Institute for Autism Spectrum Disorders (TRIAD). She completed her M.Ed. in Child Studies and Applied Behavior Analysis at Vanderbilt University. As Sr. Behavior Analyst and Clinical Operations Coordinator at the Tadpole Clinic, she provides direct support services to young children and their families within a novel, low-dosage, neurodiversity-affirming and trauma-informed model of ABA therapy for early learners (0-5 years). She supports the clinical operations of the in the Tadpole Clinic by monitoring the adherence to a high-quality model of care through development of resources for families and staff.

Shaunna is interested in the connections between child engagement and the development of social communication skills, social validity of ABA therapy practices, alternatives to extinction procedures, naturalistic behavioral and developmental interventions, assent-based procedures, neurodiversity-affirming practices, child development, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and trauma-informed care.
