Overview of Interests
Michelle Hopton has been committed to improving the quality of life and educational experience for individuals with disabilities and challenging behavior since a young age. She completed her undergraduate work at Penn State University in Special Education, with a minor in Psychology, and her graduate studies in Early Childhood Special Education and Applied Behavior Analysis at Vanderbilt University. Within her professional work, Michelle is committed to supporting educators respectfully and safely address the needs of all students, especially students who are working towards safe and meaningful engagement with educational opportunities. Prior to working as an Associate Director of Behavior Analysis in Education at TRIAD, Michelle worked in public schools in Tennessee as both a special educator and a district-level behavior analyst, as well as supervising in-home programming for autistic individuals.
