Overview of Interests
Dr. Isaacs is a neurologist with movement disorders fellowship training. Clinically, he is involved in Vanderbilt’s Parkinson’s Disease Center of Excellence, Huntington’s Disease Center of Excellence, and Movement Disorders Clinic. In 2018, Isaacs founded the Adult Tourette Syndrome Clinic at VUMC and is collaborating to establish a Tourette Syndrome Center of Excellence. His research interests focus on (1) sensory and other non-motor aspects of Tourette syndrome, (2) non-motor manifestations of Huntington’s Disease, and (3) clinical outcomes of deep brain stimulation in movement disorders. He is also actively involved in therapeutic clinical trials in several movement disorders, including Tourette syndrome, Parkinson’s disease, cervical dystonia, and Huntington’s disease.
