Overview of Interests
Elizabeth Turner has been with the Vanderbilt Kennedy Center since 2012. She has earned bachelor's and master's degrees in English from Tennessee Technological University in Cookeville. Prior to coming on board at the VKC, she worked for several years as a journalist and newspaper section editor.
Elizabeth’s specialization is internal and external event management. Regular projects include the Kennedy Center Lecture Series on Development & Developmental Disabilities and Neuroscience Graduate Seminar Series; VKC-sponsored and -co-sponsored seminars, workshops, and special lectures; the annual Vanderbilt Kennedy Center Science Day; and the Pacific Coast Research Conference, an annual research meeting held in San Diego.
In addition, she maintains the VKC's social media platforms, drafts the weekly "Monday Morning Message" e-newsletter, and contributes stories for the VKC website and Discovery and VKC Notables print and online publications.
