Overview of Interests
Suzanne Wright is an experienced behavior analyst and educator with a background in sociology. Evaluating systems and practices through multiple lenses, she enjoys solving complex problems and challenging the status quo.
Suzanne began her career supporting students with complex needs in 2007. As the Director of the Williamson County YMCA Community Action Project, she developed enrichment and after-school programs for students impacted by the justice system, partnering closely with the Williamson County Juvenile Detention Center to provide experiential learning opportunities, advocacy, academic guidance and behavior support. In 2010, she received a grant from The Community Foundation to provide an arts-focused intervention program, culminating in an end-of-year exhibit and celebration for participating students.
In 2015, Suzanne became a certified special education teacher, providing academic and behavior support to students with low-incidence disabilities. As one of three low-incidence teachers at her school, she learned the value of collaboration and a team approach to supporting neurodivergent students compassionately and intentionally. It was this experience that also allowed her to empathize with the challenge that teachers face in providing effective intervention while juggling an array of other responsibilities. The skills and lessons she learned in this role continue to serve as a personal compass in her work as a behavior analyst.
Suzanne became a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst in 2017, and began working with children, adolescents, and school teams in public schools throughout Nashville. She served as a district-level behavior analyst through 2023, consulting with special day schools and traditional schools to provide behavior assessment, intervention, and schoolwide systems improvement. She also played a significant role in designing and delivering professional development opportunities for school psychologists, administrators, special education teachers, and paraprofessionals. She joined TRIAD in 2024, serving as an Intensive Behavior Technical Assistance Consultant and leading professional development opportunities including the Educator Community of Practice.
Suzanne remains committed to improving educational and clinical outcomes for students. She is particularly interested in prioritizing neurodivergent-affirming practices that promote long term, whole-child wellness.
