Measurement of Coping With Stress

Principal Investigator: Bruce Compas, Ph.D.

Description

The Stress and Coping Lab at Vanderbilt University is doing a study about how children who are currently feeling sad, down, or depressed cope with stress in the family. We are looking for parents who have at least one child between the ages of 9 and 15 who would be willing to participate in a study and who has recently experienced depression.

What is involved?

Interested parents can complete an interest form with their contact information. The form takes 3- minutes to complete and can be accessed online through Redcap at the following link: http://j.mp/2Ic4Rsk.

You and your child will be sent online surveys to complete about stress, coping, and symptoms of depression and other related difficulties. In addition, you will be invited to our lab and children will complete two computer-based tasks. The visit will take 2-2.5 hours to complete, and there is compensation for your participation.

For completing all questionnaires and lab-based tasks, you can earn up to $40.
