The Children's eBook Project

Principal Investigator: Georgene Troseth, Ph.D.

Description

You and your child are invited to participate in a research study. The purpose of the study is to better understand parents’ and young children’s beliefs, motivations, and use of digital technologies and media.

What would my child’s participation involve?

The study involves a short session (approximately 60-90 minutes) with your child at a location of your choosing: your child’s childcare center or Vanderbilt’s campus. If you agree to participate, we will contact you to schedule a session that best matches your availability and convenience.

During the session you and your child will listen to an electronic book (eBook) together, and your child will be asked some questions about it.

As part of the study, you will also be asked to complete a survey about your child’s media experiences.

Participant Criteria

Children between the ages of 33 - 60 months and a parent/guardian.

Compensation
