Other researchers: Dr. Tatiana Peredo Dr. Jeanette Mancilla-Martinez

Description

This study is a randomized trial of a language intervention. Families assigned to the intervention group receive 36 sessions over the first 5 months. Half of the sessions are focused on teaching a parent or caregiver the strategies. Sessions are done in a hybrid in-person in-home and virtual model. All caregiver training sessions are in Spanish. The other half of the sessions are with the child and a therapist. All of those sessions are in-person, half are in English and half are in Spanish. Families in both the treatment and control group receive in person assessments at home with a bilingual therapist 4 times, about every 6 months.
