Down Syndrome Study for Adults

Description

We are seeking adults with Down Syndrome without memory loss who would be interested in participating in the Trial Ready Cohort ~ Down Syndrome Study (TRC-DS) at Vanderbilt. This is an NIH funded study whose primary goal is to develop a well characterized, trial ready cohort of participants that may be interested in participating in either a prevention or treatment trial for Alzheimer’s Disease when a trial becomes available.

There is no treatment in this trial, this is a trial ready cohort only and is observational in nature. The study would consist of 3 in person visits at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. These visits can be spread out over several days if that works best for you or your loved one. Compensation is provided for study visits; study staff can provide details related to compensation.

You (or your loved one) may be eligible if you:

  • Are between 25-55 years of age.
  • Are diagnosed with Down Syndrome.
  • In good general health; with no diagnosis of dementia.
  • Have a desire to participate in a potential prevention or treatment trial for Alzheimer’s Disease.

Between 25-55 years of age, diagnosed with Down Syndrome, in good general health with no diagnosis of dementia
