Down Syndrome Speech Enrichment Intervention

Description
We invite children with Down Syndrome (DS) to participate in an intervention study to support speech intelligibility. Children will participate in weekly play-based intervention sessions with a therapist.
Participants will be asked to:
- Complete questionnaires about their child
- Child participates in weekly play-based sessions with a therapist including up to 3 months of intervention sessions 2 times per week (60 minute sessions)
- Attend study visits before and after the intervention program
Participant Criteria
Children with Down Syndrome (DS) between the ages of 4 and 16 years. Participants must have primarily English language exposure, a confirmed diagnoses of DS and use at least 3-word utterances. Participants attend weekly intervention sessions and their parents complete questionnaires.
Visit Requirements
- 2 intervention sessions per week (60 minute sessions) for up to 3 months.
- Study visits before and after the intervention program

Compensation
