Description
The Child Language and Literacy Lab at VUMC is looking for kindergarten-age children with speech sound disorders who are struggling to read to participate in a study. Children in this study will receive free reading tutoring.
Children with medical diagnoses of autism, cerebral palsy, cleft lip/palate, Down syndrome, fragile X, hearing loss, or traumatic brain injury are NOT eligible to participate.
Research activities include Zoom visits to complete speech and language testing and reading tutoring using fun books.

Children may be eligible to receive up to $100 for participation in the study.
Participant Criteria
Children must be between 5 and a half and 7 years 11 months of age with normal hearing, have a speech sound disorder, and be struggling to learn to read.
