Description
Researchers at Vanderbilt are conducting a study to learn more about the brain function of females with Rett Syndrome and how it compares to the brain function of typically developing females. We hope that this information can be used to measure effectiveness of future treatments for Rett syndrome.
What does the study involve?
If you agree to have your child participate in our study she will be asked to:
- Have an EEG to measure brain activity
- Receive an Evoked Potential measurement – this is a non-invasive procedure similar to an EEG.
- Undergo a routine clinical assessment.
- Complete scheduled follow up visits
Participant Criteria
Females ages 1-18 with Rett syndrome
Compensation
All participants are compensated for their time and travel.
