Late Talker Study

Principal Investigator: James Booth, Ph.D.

Other researchers: Stephen Camarata

Description

Late talking is associated with negative academic and socio-emotional outcomes. Despite this, behavioral measures are relatively poor at predicting who will end up having developmental language disorder. Moreover, not much is known about the brain changes associated with language development or the brain basis of delayed language during preschool. This project uses MRI and behavioral testing as well as parent questionnaires to examine language skills in preschoolers. Find out if your child is eligible to participate here!
