Evaluating a new telehealth tool for adult autism assessment

Description
Limited tools and opportunities exist for assessment of autism in adulthood. We are looking for participants who will help us test and evaluate a new tool designed for remote adult autism assessment.
Participants who may be eligible:
- Age 18 to 65 years
- Able to communicate with verbal speech and independently complete informed consent and study procedures
- Referred for autism evaluation by a doctor or therapist
- Actively pursuing autism evaluation for yourself
- No prior participation in a diagnostic evaluation for autism
What participation involves—
- Completing online forms prior to your first appointment (up to 15 minutes).
- Visit 1: Attending one telehealth visit where you will do some online activities and speak to a licensed psychologist on Zoom (up to 90 minutes).
- Visit 2: Attending one in-person visit in our VUMC clinic where a psychologist will talk with you, administer cognitive and autism specific tests.
- Completing an online survey about your experience following both visits (up to 10 minutes each).
You may not be eligible if you have already had autism testing. Procedures are for research purposes.
