Human Study and Clinical Trial Services (Core B)
Consultation services available to all IDDRC investigators but especially designed to assist basic scientists as they translate their findings into new studies or trials with humans.
Consultation covers human recruitment strategies, IRB procedures, phenotyping, design of trial or study.
For investigators leading formal (often industry-sponsored) clinical trials, Core B links them to VUMC-supported Clinical Trials Center (CTC), which guides investigators through the complex administrative steps involved in trials. Core B supplements CTC expertise with Core B’s IDD-related expertise , e.g., specialized IDD recruitment and phenotyping.
