Research Rights
Your rights as a research volunteer are protected by national and international law. In Vanderbilt consent forms, you are guaranteed:
- a right to privacy.
- a right to choose to participate.
- a right to change your mind about your choice.
- a right to know what you will be asked to do.
- a right to know what will happen during the research.
Researchers at the Vanderbilt Kennedy Center take your privacy very seriously. All Research at the Vanderbilt Kennedy Center and at Vanderbilt in general is overseen by the Vanderbilt Institutional Review Board. The Vanderbilt Kennedy Center will never sell, rent or lease your personal information.
Anyone interesting in participating can look for studies that are recruiting in the Center's web-based StudyFinder. Families can also register with ResearchMatch to be contacted when an appropriate study opens.
