Adolescent Development in Youth With and Without Autism Spectrum Disorder
Looking For:
We are looking for a large number of boys and girls who will be enrolled at ages 10, 11, 12, and 13 and followed annually over 4 years. We are also inviting female siblings of children with autism who are 10-13 years old.
Compensation:
$20 and a letter with test results per completed visit

Autism and Language Development in Toddlers
Looking For:
Children 18-36 months of age with autism or with concerns about their social interaction or language development or children 12-36 months without autism.
Compensation:
Yes

Autism Sensory Study
Looking For:
You may quality if you (or your child) are: between 8-60 years old; have or do not have a diagnosis of autism; able and willing to reliably follow verbal instructions in the laboratory
Compensation:
Participants will be paid $15 an hour and will also receive a $25 bonus for completion of all questionnaires.

Children’s use of video as a source of socially-relevant information
Looking For:
Children who are between 23.5-25.5 months old and their parent or guardian. Your child should have no major health issues or hearing loss from after birth. Additionally, English is the primary language your child should be learning to participate in this study.
Compensation:
At the end of the visit, your child will take home a small prize of his or her choice. Parking is provided.

Developing a Brain for Numbers
Looking For:
Children who are in kindergarten this year.
Compensation:
$100 in checks for completion of both sessions

Does your child have a hard time figuring out what to say? Do they struggle to follow directions at home or in the classroom?
Looking For:
Children at least 6 and who have not yet turned 13
Compensation:
$40 gift card for on-campus screening visit and $20/hour in gift cards for additional visits. Results of standardized testing will be provided at no cost.

Does your child like to play computer games?
Looking For:
Children 8 to 17 with ASD or who are typically developing who:
are likely to be comfortable working on a computer for about an hour
Are willing to wear a “stretchy hat” (EEG cap) while watching a video;
can physically respond to computer tasks
have normal or corrected-to-normal vision and hearing

Family GAMEs Study
Looking For:
4-8-year-old children
Compensation:

Infants' language development
Looking For:
Typically developing infants between 11 months – 14 months
who were born within 3 weeks of their due date
who have had less than 4 ear infections
who hear English spoken at least 70% of the time
Compensation:
Children receive a toy or a book for taking part

Movement and Imitation in Children and Adolescents with or without ASD
Looking For:

Looking For:

TALK ASD project
Looking For:
Children aged 5-7 years old who have autism spectrum disorder OR who are typically developing who:
- are likely to wear a stretchy cap on their head
- are comfortable sitting relatively still at a computer for 15-minutes at a time
- have normal or corrected-to-normal vision and hearing.
Compensation:
$20 gift card at each visit & an outer space goodie bag upon completion

Telehealth Language Therapy for Toddlers (Vanderbilt Kidtalk)
Looking For:
27 to 30 month old children (see detail)
Compensation:
Families will be compensated for their time as well as receiving toys and books for their child and an iPad kit to use for telehealth sessions

The Children's eBook Project
Looking For:
Children between the ages of 33 - 60 months and a parent/guardian.

You are the parent of a child with or without autism. Your child with or without autism has a younger sibling who is 12-18 months old.
Compensation:
Participants will be compensated $20 per hour.

Looking For:
Caregivers and their children ages 10-15
Compensation:
Both you and your child will be compensated for participating. You will receive a $35 gift card. Your child will receive a $50 gift card.
