VKC IDDRC Advisory Committees

The activities of the Vanderbilt Kennedy Center Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Research Center (IDDRC) are guided by both internal and external advisory committees. Committees are comprised of senior leadership at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and Vanderbilt University, self-and parent-advocates, seasoned scientists, community organizations, and state agencies.

These relationships are and will continue to be critical for oversight and alignment, and to ensure the VKC continues to meet its mission and objectives.

Internal Advisory Committee

The Internal Advisory Committee is composed of senior Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) and Vanderbilt University (VU) leadership and serves to provide oversight to the IDDRC and guide IDDRC alignment to VU/VUMC strategy.

External Advisory Committee

The External Advisory Committee (EAC) evaluates IDDRC services and functioning, advises leadership on new or emerging core-related technologies, and recommends ways to improve integration of IDDRC project and cores.

Community Advisory Council

The Community Advisory Council advises the leadership of the VKC and is a full partner in planning, implementing, and evaluating activities.
